- Time in London
- Gunnerside, Yorkshire Dales
- Revisiting some favourites!
- Road to Fort William
Well here we are settled back in Tomich – our “return” house sit. We were so happy to see Rosie and Andrew again – they remembered us! – the 4 ducks, and Nibbles the Shetland Pony. We now have Flora the horse to look after as well. It has been a bit strange coming back – it feels like the months we have spent away just flashed by – did they really happen? Time is such a strange thing!
Our drive from Yorkshire to Scotland was a mixture of motorway and then the wonderful highlands between Glasgow and Tomich. The first was necessary because we had a lot of ground to cover and the second a labour of love. We stopped for lunch in a cafe on the edge of Loch Lomond. We had not been on the road between Loch Lomond and Fort William – new territory – and we were hoping to see some lovely countryside. We were not disappointed. We followed the road through the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park – just beautiful. Mile after mile of rugged mountains and wild, desolate moors. About a 3 hour drive to Fort William – one we will remember!
Love
Di and Reg
