Still on the move! Left Loxton and returned to our house sit in Berri – reunited with Dori the cat. She seemed happy to see us, lots of cuddles, snuggling in at night. For a small cat she takes up a lot of room on the bed! Lovely to visit some of the local Berri sites – Martin’s Bend is one of my favourites. Great lawned picnic area, camping ground, boat slip. Houseboats gliding past. Bird life everywhere! Of course there’s been more socializing since we last spoke – another dinner party at our house, BBQ at Leigh and Julie’s in Barmera, Reg a regular at the Peppertree Shack on a Tuesday night, visiting Mum and family. The Peppertree Shack is particularly interesting. It’s a men’s “get together” held in an old shed near Glossip. Offers support for men who are often on their own and/or struggling with life. Reg really enjoys going along. Usually something to eat, a guest speaker, chatting and prayer. Lots of love and acceptance.
Then it was on to Kangarilla in the Adelaide Hills – our next destination. Bus from Berri, through to Blanchetown, the Barossa, Gawler in the pouring rain – first decent rain we’ve seen for awhile. Train from Adelaide to Seaford, picked up by Charles, driven to Kangarilla. Smooth sailing but quite a busy day. This is not exactly a house sit – more a house share. We are living with Wolf and Sharryn – friends of Leonie and Charles – Reg’s sister and partner. Wolf suffered a severe head injury when he fell off of the roof of their house last September. Life has been “interesting” ever since – numerous operations, staph infection, titanium plate, rehab. BUT he has just come home – still sporting some very white bandages and feeling a bit tired – but much improved. We are here to lend a hand as needed. Planning to stay for around 4 weeks before we return to the Riverland for our next house sit. Lovely 100 acre property here in the hills – dogs and horses, beautiful gum trees. Interesting house built inside a huge shed – excellent entertainment area out the back. Friends are already calling in to catch up with Wolf – all relieved that he is finally home. It’s been a long haul.
Cheers and love

Hello Reg and Dianne
I never forget about you guys. Its me, Su-Ellen, we met at Wolf and Sharryns, on the last night you were staying there.
It was great meeting you both and have not been up there since, I should drop in to see how they are keeping.
So how are you both?, Have you slowed down for abit or are you still on the go .
I am trying to make an itinerary for a get away holiday, preferably by car to Qld where my big brother lives in Moffatt Beach and Marion his wife that I have not seen for years. She never stops working ( Dr and psychiatrist) I seriously recommended she see a psychologist to take a holiday.!!! heh he ! but she just keeps going , totally devoted. They have a golden retriever, and as I love animals I am going to suggest I look after their new home and doggie while they get away perhaps before or after Christmas.
Where are you now, as we never know we could catch up. I am hoping to leave in mid Nov and stay away for as long as it takes. I have chosen to stop in Cooranbong,
then Newcastle where I went to boarding school CEGGS with the Cathedral on top of the hill . Great memories there, so will attend a service whilst there, it will be amazing. Then up the gold coast, sunshine coast to Moffatt Beach.
I am right into Google maps, I love it, its almost the best thing to getting away when you actually are unable to ! if you know what I mean. Google maps give you so much info. However I have been looking into your Adventures , you are both amazing, and to have been to so many beautiful places in the world.
This all inspires me to go go go, get on with my art and photography.
I have a daughter in UK and my youngest daughter lives in Melb. Helen flew back to UK last Thursday 26th from Melb, she was only in Australia for just about 10 days.
Well, I had better sign off as I am hoping this will find you well and happy. Bless you both. Kind regards Su-Ellen and Rougé.
Hi Su-Ellen……sounds like you have a plan!!! We are currently living on Phillip Island in Victoria – hosting Allansfield Healing Centre. People come and stay for a holiday/retreat. Families, single people, church groups. Have two years to go of a three year contract/agreement. Then who knows!! If you’re over this way come and visit. Give our love to Wolf and Sharryn if you get a chance to see them. Blessings
